Course Description
|
This course is designed to enhance the acquired knowledge of Microsoft Access
2000. The course uses a hands-on approach to learning. Each student will design and create
a complex database application. This application will involve advanced database concepts
such as input masks and complex forms. Emphasis is placed on creating a database for
others, that is user friendly and mistake proof. This course assumes that the participant
has a good working knowledge of Access and the relational database design concept. It
allows the student to put the database design concepts into practice. |
Course Objectives
|
Ø Using Input masks and validation rules to minimize
input mistakes
Ø Using OLE fields to store data acquired from other applications
Ø Using relationships to access data in other related tables
Ø Creating queries to exploit relationships between tables to make the query more useful
Ø
Using Action queries to create new tables, delete large amounts of data, add large
amounts of data, and update tables
Ø Creating advanced forms including various controls to aid in the
inputting of data
Ø Creating forms incorporating multiple tables
Ø Creating advanced reports using the wizards

Duration
The duration of the course is one day. This day begins at 8:30 am and ends at 4:30
pm.
