Course Description

Learning how to use the graphical interface is only one part of using your computer effectively. Once you have mastered the concepts put forth in the introductory course, you are ready for some more advanced concepts. Copying, moving, renaming, finding, and deleting files are just a few of the tasks that you will learn in this course. You will learn about some of the free applications that come standard with Windows 98.

Course Objectives

Ø To learn file maintenance tasks such as copying, moving, renaming, and deleting files.

Ø To become comfortable with the Windows Explorer application. This application gives you full control over your entire file storage system from one area.

Ø Discover some of the applications that come free with Windows 98. These applications include a drawing program (MS Paint), a font viewer (Character Map), and a fully functional scientific calculator.
