Microsoft Word 2000 - Level 2

Course Outlines

Course Schedule

Course Description

Studies show that most people use only 20% of a software package’s features.  This course is designed to show you most of that other 80% of the program.  The student will be introduced to advanced features such as templates, mail merge, styles, graphics, columns, and more.    Most of these features can improve the proficiency of any person who uses Word a lot and would like to find ways to take advantage of what it has to offer.

Course Objectives

Ø      Many people recall word processor documents for slight modifications, then reprint them or save them under another file name.  They could be using Words Template feature to accommodate this.  Along with using templates, the student will be shown how to create form fields for enhancing the uses of templates.

Ø      Styles is another feature that will improve productivity with Word.  It is beneficial to understand Styles since Word takes anything that it sees as a heading and adds it to a Style list automatically.

Ø      Mail merge is not a tool that everyone needs to use, but we will go through it and see how simple it is to use with Word’s Mail Merge Helper.

Ø      Many of these features have to be understood and implemented properly.  Work with our step-by-step instructions and follow-up exercises to get some hands-on experience with them.
