This course is designed to enable the student to efficiently use Microsoft Access 8.0. The course uses a hands-on approach to learning. Each student will design and create a simple database application. Emphasis is placed on the general design concept as well as how to incorporate these ideas within the Access environment. This course has been customized for the City of Swift Current to accentuate the use of Access.

• Understand the concept of a Relational database
• Design a basic database application
• Learn how to create, modify and use tables
• Understand the concept of queries
• Learn how to create, modify and use queries
• Designing and using simple forms
• Understand how to create effective reports

The duration of the course is 1 day. This day begins at 8:30 am and ends at 4:30 pm.
