Settler Farm Accounting - Using

Course Schedule - Course Outlines

Course Description

This course covers some basic as well as some complex transactions (Loans, NISA, Dividends, Asset Sales, etc). Transactions can be edited or reversed - find out how.  Learn how to produce reports and track transactions through reports.  Hands on work with the Bank Reconciliation and the GST return function within Settler. Some of the Planning Tools like the Budgeter, Cash Flow and Tax Forecaster will be included in the course.  The year-end process will also be covered.

Course Objectives

Ø      The student will be given an in-depth description of the Transaction entry screen since that is the main screen that must be used in Settler.

Ø      The student will be challenged to enter a number of unusual accounting entries into the system.  Note taking is a must to complete many of the exercises.  That way the student will have information to help themselves out when they encounter the same or similar thing in their own books.

Ø      The Bank reconciliation is critical to maintaining a good set of books. There will be a section on reconciling the entries the student enters through the exercises.

Ø The extra tools that come with Settler will be covered so that you will have an understanding on how some of them will benefit your operations and how easy it is to use them.
